What you need?
Low Voltage Wire / Long Wire (Not included in this set)
For low voltage landscape lighting, 14 or 12 gauge wire with 2 strands will work just fine.
Low Voltage Wire Connector (Included 12 wire connectors in this set)
The wire connectors are used to connect the two short wire strands that extend from each light to the long wire.
Low Voltage Transformer (Not included in this set)
Low voltage transformer is used to convert the standard home line voltage (usually 110 volts) to a lower voltage (usually 12 or 24 volts).
How to connect the two short wire strands that extend from each light to the long wire?
Split the long wire to two strands (each strands uses a connector), tap the metal prongs on the connector directly into your long wire and then tighten down the connector.Slid the two short wire strands that extend from each light into the wire holder on the connector, and then tighten down the connector.
How to attach the long wire to the landscape lighting transformer?
Use a wire stripper to remove the plastic wire casing from about 1/2” of wire.Insert the bare wire into the slot on the transformer and use a screwdriver to tighten the little metal screws on the back of the transformer that clamp down on the wire.
